The waves of El Rosario, Guatemala, were recently the stage for fierce competition as 48 athletes from across Central America battled it out for glory in the surfing events of the XII Central American Games. From October 17th to 21st, surfers representing Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Guatemala showcased their skills in a variety of disciplines.
Central American Surfing Showdown
The competition featured eight medal categories, highlighting the diverse talents within the Central American surfing community. Athletes competed for top honors in both men’s and women’s divisions across the following categories:

- Bodyboard
- SUP Race (Stand-Up Paddleboard Race)
